CB Ghost is a songwriter with a raw, honest folk-rock style—blending singalong anthems, poetic lyrics, and the occasional banger beat to soundtrack life’s messy beauty.

Described by Scenestr magazine as “Oasis meets Jack Johnson with Chris Cornell feels,” CB Ghost is an original beast (or Ghost), carving out his own space in the Australian music scene.

Hailing from a tight-knit coastal surf town, his roots run deep in salty, soul-rich genres—Celtic rhythms, country charm, and no-frills rock’n’roll. A former pro surfer and Aussie State Champion, CB Ghost brings the same bold energy and dedication to his music, channelling blue-collar folk tales and the joy of live shows where people drink, dance, and sing their hearts out.

With his band of “merry Ghosts,” CB has quietly built momentum. His first four singles—Hollywood Hills, Hold Down Hymn, Beautiful Middle Finger, and the new High on Elm & Vine—have racked up close to 100,000 streams, paired with atmospheric video clips that bring the songs to life.

Now, his debut album Mayhemic drops May 9 on all streaming platforms—plus vinyl and CD. To celebrate, the band’s hitting the stage at Long Jetty Hotel that Friday night with Supports TBA

The record lives up to its name—ranging from Dylan-esque melancholy on Garage Restitution, to foot-stomping bangers like One Wave at a Time, sea-shanty-style duets like Anchor, and closing with a full-throttle cover of 80s punk classic Carry Me Home by The Slaves (originally penned by Rik L. Rik).
